Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
壯陽光, 滋腎水, 爲天地交泰. 若虛勞之人, 房室過度, 五心煩熱, 服之神效, 久服延年益壽. 紫河車 一具(照前法蒸), 熟地黃ㆍ當歸(酒洗)ㆍ茴香(酒炒)ㆍ黃柏(酒炒)ㆍ白朮(炒) 各二兩, 生乾地黃(酒炒)ㆍ天門冬ㆍ麥門冬ㆍ牛膝(酒洗)ㆍ杜沖(炒) 各一兩半, 枸杞子ㆍ五味子 各七錢, 陳皮ㆍ乾薑 各二錢, 側柏葉(向東枝者焙) 二兩. 右爲末, 入河車共擣, 衆手爲丸梧子大. 米飮或溫酒任下百丸, 日再服. 《回春》
Translation
Strengthens the original Yang and enriches the Kidney water, so that Heaven and Earth meet in peace. Where a person of taxation detriment has gone to excess in the bedchamber and has vexing heat of the five hearts, taking it has a spirit-level effect; taken long, it extends the years. One placenta, steamed by the method above; prepared rehmannia, wine-washed Korean angelica, wine-fried fennel, wine-fried phellodendron, and dry-fried white atractylodes, 2 nyang each; wine-fried dried raw rehmannia, asparagus root, ophiopogon, wine-washed achyranthes, and dry-fried eucommia, 1 nyang 5 don each; lycium fruit and schisandra, 7 don each; tangerine peel and dried ginger, 2 don each; arborvitae leaf from east-facing branches, baked, 2 nyang. Powder the above, add the placenta and pound together, and with many hands form pills the size of parasol-tree seeds.
