Clinical commentary 臨床

Black atractylodes leading at 3 nyang makes this a damp formula before it is a cough formula, and cyperus beside it a qi formula: the Jeongjeon is treating the accumulation and letting the cough follow. Radish seed is the drug that marks the food cough throughout this part of the chapter — it appears again in Samjayangchin-tang — and it works downward on both food and phlegm. **Contains pinellia, which is toxic in the raw state and must be properly processed.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
