Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治中風喎斜ㆍ癱瘓, 及暗風ㆍ風癎. 蒼朮ㆍ槐實ㆍ桑白皮ㆍ川芎ㆍ白芷ㆍ威靈仙ㆍ人參ㆍ防風ㆍ何首烏ㆍ蔓荊子 各一兩, 苦參ㆍ五味子ㆍ木香 各五錢, 龍腦ㆍ麝香 各五分. 右爲末, 以麻黃煎膏和, 擣萬杵, 每一兩分作十丸, 朱砂爲衣. 每取一丸, 磨溫酒半盞, 以物合定不透氣, 食後臨卧一呷嚥之, 衣覆取汗卽差. 《入門》 ○歌曰: 我有換骨丹, 傳之極幽秘. 踈開病者心, 扶起衰翁臂. 氣壯卽延年, 神淸目不睡. 南山張仙翁, 三百八十歲. 槐皮芎朮芷, 仙人防首蔓, 十件各停勻, 苦味香減半, 龍麝卽少許, 朱砂作衣纏. 麻黃煎膏丸, 大小如指彈. 修合在深房, 勿令陰人見. 夜卧服一粒, 遍身汗津滿. 萬病自消除, 神仙爲侶伴. 《丹心》 ○麻黃煎膏治卒中風不省, 用此膏加入湯藥內服, 或用此膏丸藥服之. 《方見雜方》

Translation

Treats wind stroke with deviation of the mouth and eye and paralysis, and also hidden wind and wind epilepsy. Atractylodes lancea, sophora fruit, mulberry root bark, chuanxiong, angelica dahurica, clematis, ginseng, saposhnikovia, polygonum multiflorum and vitex fruit, 1 nyang each; sophora flavescens, schisandra and costus, 5 don each; borneol and musk, 5 fun each. Powder and mix with ephedra paste, pound ten thousand strokes, make ten pills to the nyang and coat with cinnabar. Take one pill ground into half a cup of warm wine, covered with something so that no air escapes; after food and at bedtime swallow it in one draught, cover with bedclothes to bring out the sweat, and recovery follows. The verse: I have the Exchange the Bones Elixir, handed down in the deepest secrecy. It opens out the sick man's heart and lifts up the failing old man's arm. The qi made strong, the years are lengthened; the spirit clear, the eyes need no sleep. The immortal Elder Zhang of the Southern Mountain was three hundred and eighty years old. Sophora bark, chuanxiong, atractylodes, angelica dahurica, clematis, saposhnikovia, polygonum and vitex — ten items in equal measure; the bitter, the sour and the fragrant at half; of borneol and musk only a little; cinnabar wrapped on as a coat. Pilled with ephedra paste, the size of a finger-flicked ball. Compound it in a deep room and let no yin person see. Lying down at night take one pellet, and the whole body fills with sweat. The ten thousand diseases vanish of themselves, and the immortals become your companions.
