Translation

Treats the sunken screen, which is seen only on close looking and is the deepest of the diseases. Saposhnikovia, dried raw rehmannia and anemarrhena 2 nyang each; schisandra, plantago seed, abalone shell and asarum 1 nyang each; azurite 2 don. Powder them, make honey pills the size of parasol-tree seeds, and take ten on an empty stomach with clear tea. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

A sunken screen is the opacity you have to look closely to find, and the chapter calls it the deepest disease — so the formula is named for its smallest ingredient. Azurite at two don against eight nyang of everything else is a trace, and that is how a copper mineral was used: ten pills at a time, on an empty stomach, no more. **Contains azurite, a copper carbonate. Copper salts are toxic taken internally. This must not be prepared.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
