Translation

Treats the ice screen. Gardenia, tribulus, bitter orange, schizonepeta and licorice 5 don each; plantago seed and burdock seed (stir-fried) 2 don 5 pun each. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into a decoction of bitter bamboo leaf. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The ice screen is a white opacity read as liver heat congealed, and the treatment is the opposite of the two formulas above — cool, dispersing, with nothing enriching in it. Bitter bamboo leaf as the vehicle sends the heat out through the urine, and the whole prescription is light enough to give alongside something else. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
