The leaf runs across a page break: 糝 stands at the foot of 056a and 之貼之 at the head of 056b, read together as 糝之貼之. The page marker [056b] falls inside the leaf and is not part of the text. 黃栢 is left as the transcription prints it. 藥水 is the 洗藥方 of this same section.

Translation

Treats every malign sore of damp heat, and treats children too. Minium 1 nyang, phellodendron and coptis 5 don of each, calomel 1 don. Powder the above; wash with the medicated wash, then dust it on and lay a plaster over. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Jechang)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Four drugs, two of them metals, and the metals are the bulk: a nyang of minium to half a nyang each of phellodendron and coptis, with a don of calomel. Minium is a drying, astringent red lead powder that was the standard base of a dusting powder for a weeping sore, and the two bitter yellows cool. The sequence is wash, dust, cover. 濕熱惡瘡 is a weeping, crusted, infected eruption, and 亦療小兒 names children specifically — which in practice means impetigo, the commonest such thing in a child. **Contains minium (lead tetroxide) and calomel (a mercury salt), dusted onto broken skin, and the leaf recommends it for children. Lead and mercury are absorbed through abraded skin, and a child absorbs more and tolerates less: this combination on an infected eruption in a child is a route to lead and mercury poisoning. This must not be prepared.** Impetigo is treated with a topical or oral antibiotic and clears quickly. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
