服之百日有孕. 益母草 半斤, 加當歸ㆍ赤芍藥ㆍ木香 各二兩. 右爲末, 蜜丸梧子大, 白湯下百丸. 《入門》
Translation
Taken for a hundred days, there is conception. Motherwort half a geun, with angelica, red peony and costus 2 nyang each added. Powder them, make honey pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take a hundred down with plain hot water. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Buin)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Four medicinals with motherwort at twice the weight of the other three together. 益母, benefiting the mother, and the plant is the tradition's standing medicinal for the whole range of menstrual and postpartum complaints — the Uterus chapter's simples section records the same at 13.23.6.
