Clinical commentary 臨床

The Uigam's version of the Costus and Coptis Pill, with the evodia kept in rather than thrown away and frankincense and myrrh added for the pain. Commander-in-chief of all the dysenteries is as strong a claim as the chapter makes for any formula, and it is a defensible one: berberine for the organism, evodia for the cramping, the two resins for the pain, bound with mume plum to astringe. Nothing in it is dangerous, which separates it from the Immun's formula of the same name. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
