Clinical commentary 臨床

The Geumgwe's Gyulpijukyeo-tang with loquat leaf, ophiopogon and poria added, which turns a hiccup formula into a vomiting one. Loquat leaf and bamboo shavings are the tradition's pair for counterflow in the stomach, and the substitution the source allows — honey-roasted mulberry root bark when loquat leaf is unavailable — is a note about what a village pharmacy actually had. **Contains pinellia, which is toxic in the raw state and must be properly processed before use.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
