Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
一名葛連丸. 治飮酒多, 積熱以致吐衄血垂死者. 黃連 四兩, 葛花 二兩, 無則葛根代之. 右爲末, 用大黃末水熬成膏, 和丸梧子大, 溫水下百丸. 《回春》
Translation
Also called Pueraria and Coptis Pill. Treats heavy drinking with accumulated heat bringing on vomiting and nosebleed of blood to the point of death. Coptis 4 nyang; pueraria flower 2 nyang, or pueraria root in its place if there is none. Powder them, boil powdered rhubarb in water to a paste, bind into pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take a hundred down with warm water. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)
