Powder them, bind with ginger-juice paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take thirty to fifty down with tangerine peel decoction. — Seonmyeongnon 宣明 (Donguibogam · Gi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Liu Wansu's formula, and it brings qi down by purging it out — both morning glory seeds and the two blood-breakers, sparganium and curcuma. Qi that attacks upward is sent the other way, and the Purging chapter's method is applied to a qi complaint. **Morning glory seed is a drastic purgative.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
