Clinical commentary 臨床

常患氣惱之人 — a person constantly troubled by vexation of the qi — is the indication, and it names a temperament rather than a disease. The formula is for the anxious, and it is made in bulk — two nyang of each — because it is meant to be taken for a long time. 上下分消, dispersing above and below: platycodon and mulberry bark open the top, alisma and akebia drain the bottom, and the qi-movers work the middle. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
