Clinical commentary 臨床

蓐勞, childbed taxation, is the exhaustion of the weeks after delivery, and the chapter's answer is food — four nyang of fat mutton against four medicinals. Zhongjing's Danggwisaenggangyangyuk-tang stands behind it, and the variant that swaps mutton for ginseng shows how the two were understood: both supply what has been spent, one as food and one as medicine. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
