Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治産後氣血未復而有房事, 勞損下血, 頭目沈重. 熟地黃一錢半, 當歸ㆍ蟹爪(微炒)ㆍ鹿角膠珠ㆍ男子裩布(燒存性) 各一錢, 伏龍肝七分半, 蒲黃(炒)ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ白芍藥各五分, 桂心ㆍ甘草各二分半. 右剉作一貼, 入靑竹茹一錢, 水煎服. 《正傳》

Translation

Treats intercourse after delivery before the qi and blood have been restored, with taxation detriment and bleeding, the head and eyes heavy and sunken. Cooked rehmannia 1 don 5 pun; angelica, crab claw (lightly stir-fried), deer antler glue beads and a man's undergarment cloth (burnt preserving its nature) 1 don each; stove earth 7 pun 5 ri; cattail pollen (stir-fried), white poria and white peony 5 pun each; cinnamon heart and licorice 2 pun 5 ri each. Clinical commentary 臨床

氣血未復而有房事 — intercourse before the qi and blood have been restored — names the cause plainly, and the section's regimen at 1.31 forbids it for a hundred days. The man's undergarment cloth burnt to ash is a resemblance remedy of the kind this chapter uses where a complaint is traced to the husband; the Uterus chapter carries the same at 13.23.
