Translation
Treats the five accumulations and six gatherings, with pain and distension of the heart and abdomen and stool and urine inhibited. Sparganium, curcuma, green tangerine peel, tangerine peel, platycodon, agastache, alpinia, cyperus, cinnamon bark and licorice 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take. One version adds rhubarb and areca 1 don each and treats glomus accumulations of every kind, with a sallow yellow complexion and no strength in the four limbs. All of these follow from worm accumulation within, or from a liking for raw rice, or for wall earth, or for tea, charcoal, salty and pungent things. This one dose alone removes the root: decoct in water, leave it out overnight in the dew, and take warm on an empty stomach, allowing not the least food or drink. Otherwise the strength of the medicine is lessened and the worm accumulation will not move. After taking it there is pain in the heart and abdomen, and foul matter should be passed like fish jelly or like worms and turtles. By midday, when the accumulation is fully passed, warm congee is then used to stop it. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Jeokchwi)
