治五積六聚氣塊. 三稜ㆍ檳榔 各三兩, 山査肉 二兩, 香附子ㆍ蘿葍子ㆍ枳實ㆍ枳殼ㆍ蓬朮ㆍ陳皮ㆍ靑皮 各一兩, 黃連ㆍ神麴ㆍ麥芽ㆍ鱉甲ㆍ乾漆ㆍ桃仁ㆍ䃃砂ㆍ縮砂ㆍ當歸尾ㆍ木香ㆍ甘草 各五錢. 右爲末, 醋糊和丸梧子大. 白湯下三五十丸. 《入門》

Translation

Treats the five accumulations and six gatherings with qi lumps. Sparganium and areca 3 nyang each; hawthorn flesh 2 nyang; cyperus, radish seed, bitter orange fruit, bitter orange, curcuma, tangerine peel and green tangerine peel 1 nyang each; coptis, medicated leaven, barley sprout, turtle carapace, dried lacquer, peach kernel, sal ammoniac, amomum, angelica tails, costus and licorice 5 don each. Powder them, make pills with vinegar paste the size of a firmiana seed, and take thirty to fifty down with plain hot water. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Jeokchwi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Twenty-one medicinals with sparganium and areca leading at 3 nyang, and it is the section's broadest prescription — the one to reach for when the accumulation has not been sorted into a viscus. Turtle carapace, dried lacquer and sal ammoniac are the three that dissolve rather than move, and vinegar paste as the binder directs the whole toward the liver and the mass. **Sal ammoniac is a corrosive ammonium salt and is toxic.
