Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治五積六聚, 諸般痞塊. 當歸ㆍ白朮ㆍ半夏ㆍ陳皮ㆍ枳實ㆍ山査肉ㆍ香附子ㆍ厚朴ㆍ縮砂各一錢, 木香五分(水磨取汁). 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎, 調木香汁服之. 《回春》

Translation

Treats the five accumulations and six gatherings, and glomus lumps of every kind. Angelica, white atractylodes, pinellia, tangerine peel, bitter orange fruit, hawthorn flesh, cyperus, magnolia bark and amomum 1 don each; costus 5 pun, ground in water and the juice taken. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water, stir in the costus juice and take. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Jeokchwi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Named for breaking down hardness and containing nothing that breaks anything — no sparganium, no curcuma, no mineral. Angelica and white atractylodes lead, which makes it a supplementing formula wearing an attacking name, and that is consistent with the section at 1.10: strong people have no accumulations, only depleted ones do, so supplement first and the accumulation disperses of itself.
