Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治咽喉腫閉塞. 膽礬 五錢<span class='sochu'>無膽礬則代以綠礬, 入靑魚膽內風乾</span>, 巴豆 七箇(去殼), 焰硝 二錢半, 煆硏銅靑 一錢, 輕粉 五分, 靑黛 一字. 右將膽礬同巴豆於銅銚內飛過, 去巴豆, 合焰硝等四味, 再入麝香少許. 每用一字吹入喉中, 吐出痰血立愈. 《綱目》
Translation
Treats the throat swollen and blocked. Bluestone 5 don <span class='sochu'>if there is no bluestone, green vitriol may be used instead, put inside a black carp's gall and wind-dried</span>; seven croton kernels, shelled; saltpetre 2 don 5 pun; verdigris calcined and ground 1 don; calomel 5 pun; indigo 1 ja. Float the bluestone with the croton in a copper pan, discard the croton, combine with the saltpetre and the other three, and add a little musk. Blow 1 ja at a time into the throat, and the phlegm and blood are vomited out and it heals at once. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Inhu)
