Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
牡蠣粉ㆍ紅藤根ㆍ乾漆 各五錢, 藤黃ㆍ雄黃ㆍ雌黃ㆍ硫黃ㆍ輕粉ㆍ粉霜ㆍ麝香ㆍ砒礵ㆍ枯黃丹 各一錢. 右爲末, 陳米飯和搗, 丸如棗核大, 每一丸納肛內深二寸. 用新塼毬子 二箇, 炭火燒赤, 淬醋中, 綿裹一箇於肛門熨之, 冷卽換, 下惡物除根. 《東垣》
Translation
Oyster shell powder, red-vine root and dried lacquer 5 don each; gamboge, realgar, orpiment, sulphur, calomel, sublimed calomel, musk, arsenic and calcined red lead 1 don each. Powder them, pound with old cooked rice and make pills the size of a jujube stone; put one two chon up the rectum. Take two new brick balls, heat them red in a charcoal fire and quench them in vinegar; wrap one in cotton and iron the anus with it, changing it as it cools, and the foul matter comes down and the root is removed. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Hueum)
