Translation
Treats external piles and everted piles, with prolapse, swelling, pain and unstopping discharge. Leach two bowls of strong lye from wood ash and boil down to one; add sliced aconite root and sliced rhubarb 2 don each and boil over a slow fire to half a bowl; add licorice 1 don and bring to the boil a few times, then put in half a spoonful of clean lime powder and let it boil up three to five times; strain through a double thickness of silk, boil again to a paste, and when cold stir in 5 pun of bluestone ground very fine; keep it in an earthen vessel. At the time of use stir in a little powdered borneol, dip a silver pin in the medicine and paint it on, once a day, or three to five times in a severe case. First wash the part with the medicinal water and dry it, then paint it on. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Hueum)
