Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
齒縫多出血. 以鹽湯常常漱口, 仍以鹽末塗之. 靑竹茹醋浸一宿, 含漱. 又竹葉濃煎入鹽, 含漱. 又濃煎茗湯, 含漱, 皆妙. 《本草》 治牙疼, 牙宣出血. 香附子末, 薑汁浸一宿, 漱口後揩齒. 《得效》 滿口齒出血. 地骨皮煎湯, 先漱後喫. 《綱目》
Translation
Much bleeding from between the teeth: rinse the mouth constantly with salt decoction and apply powdered salt as well. Green bamboo shavings steeped a night in vinegar, held in the mouth. Or bamboo leaf decocted thick with salt added, held in the mouth. Or strong tea held in the mouth — all marvellous. For toothache and bleeding from receding gums: powdered cyperus steeped a night in ginger juice, rinsed with and then rubbed on the teeth.
