Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治尿血及便血. 生地黃ㆍ麥門冬ㆍ梔子(炒黑) 各一錢, 玄參ㆍ牡丹皮各八分, 當歸ㆍ川芎ㆍ赤芍藥各五分, 知母ㆍ黃柏(幷酒炒)ㆍ白朮ㆍ陳皮ㆍ甘草各三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《醫鑑》

Translation

Treats bloody urine and bloody stool. Fresh rehmannia, ophiopogon and gardenia (stir-fried black) 1 don each; scrophularia and moutan bark 8 pun each; angelica, chuanxiong and red peony 5 pun each; anemarrhena and phellodendron (both wine-fried), white atractylodes, tangerine peel and licorice 3 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

One formula for blood from either lower passage, and it is built on the yin rather than the passage — rehmannia, ophiopogon, scrophularia, moutan.
