Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治尿血. 亂髮(燒存性), 爲末, 每二錢, 以醋二合湯少許調服. 或以井華水亦得. 《綱目》

Translation

Treats bloody urine. Human hair burnt preserving its nature and powdered, 2 don at a time stirred into 2 hop of vinegar with a little hot water; or dawn-drawn well water will also serve. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Charred hair, which the tradition calls 血餘 — the surplus of the blood — on the reasoning that hair grows from blood and its ash returns to it. The Women chapter uses it at 1.22 for obstructed labour and the chapter's 1.28 registers a Blood Surplus Powder that is the same thing. **Haematuria requires investigation.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
