Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

通治水病, 浮腫. 補中氣, 行濕. 人參ㆍ白朮各一錢, 蒼朮ㆍ陳皮ㆍ赤茯苓ㆍ麥門冬ㆍ木通ㆍ當歸各七分, 黃芩五分, 厚朴ㆍ升麻各三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《醫林》

Translation

Treats water disease and oedema generally. It supplements the centre qi and moves damp. Ginseng and white atractylodes 1 don each; atractylodes lancea, tangerine peel, red poria, ophiopogon, akebia and angelica 7 pun each; scutellaria 5 pun; magnolia bark and cimicifuga 3 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Uirim 醫林 (Donguibogam · Bujong)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The chapter's general formula for oedema, and the only one in the section that leads with ginseng and white atractylodes. Everything else here drains; this one supplements first and drains second, which is what the name states. Cimicifuga at 3 pun is the detail worth noting.
