Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治白帶及白淫. 鹿角霜ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ白芷ㆍ白朮ㆍ烏賊魚骨ㆍ白薇ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ牡蠣粉ㆍ山藥各等分. 右爲末, 糊丸梧子大, 米飮下五十丸. 《丹心》

Translation

Treats white discharge and white turbidity. Deer antler ash, white poria, angelica dahurica, white atractylodes, cuttlefish bone, baiwei, white peony, oyster shell powder and dioscorea in equal parts. Powder them, make paste pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take fifty down with rice broth. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Po)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Seven of the nine medicinals are white — deer antler ash, white poria, angelica dahurica, white atractylodes, cuttlefish bone, baiwei, white peony — and the discharge treated is white. That is the resemblance reasoning the Accumulations chapter states at 1.8.14, applied with unusual consistency. Whether or not the colour governed the selection, the pharmacology holds up: cuttlefish bone and calcined oyster shell are both astringent and drying, and deer antler ash warms and secures the controlling vessel. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
