Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治衝任虛寒, 帶下純白. 鹿茸(燎去毛醋蒸焙) 二兩, 白斂ㆍ金毛狗脊各一兩. 右爲末, 艾煎醋湯打糯米糊, 和丸梧子大, 空心, 溫酒下五七十丸. 《得效》

Translation

Treats the thoroughfare and controlling vessels vacuous and cold, with discharge purely white. Deer antler velvet (the hairs singed off, vinegar-steamed and dry-roasted) 2 nyang; ampelopsis and golden-haired cibot 1 nyang each. Powder them, make a glutinous rice paste with mugwort decocted in vinegar, form pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take fifty to seventy on an empty stomach with warm wine. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Po)

Clinical commentary 臨床

衝任虛寒 — the thoroughfare and controlling vessels vacuous and cold — is the chapter's designation for the coldest form of discharge, and the formula answers it with deer antler velvet at two nyang, the most warming substance in the materia medica. 純白, purely white, is the discriminating sign.
