Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治風邪入腦, 看一成二, 欲成內障. 川芎ㆍ當歸ㆍ地骨皮ㆍ蒼朮ㆍ白朮ㆍ密蒙花ㆍ羌活ㆍ天麻ㆍ薄荏ㆍ柴胡ㆍ藁本ㆍ石膏ㆍ木賊ㆍ連翹ㆍ細辛ㆍ䓀莄ㆍ防風ㆍ荊芥ㆍ甘草各五分, 梔子ㆍ白芷各三分. 右剉, 水煎服, 食後. 《回春》

Translation

Treats wind evil entering the brain so that one object is seen as two, about to become an internal obstruction. Chuanxiong, Korean angelica, lycium root bark, atractylodes lancea, white atractylodes, buddleia flower, notopterygium, gastrodia, mint, bupleurum, ligusticum, gypsum, horsetail, forsythia, asarum, platycodon, saposhnikovia, schizonepeta and licorice 5 pun each; gardenia and angelica dahurica 3 pun each. Cut up, decoct in water, and take after food. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Twenty-one medicinals at five pun each for double vision, which the chapter traces to wind reaching the brain and the Lingshu explains mechanically: the evil strikes the eye's connecting vessels, the two eyes' lines of sight no longer meet, and one thing is seen as two.
