Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治五色痢. 鸎粟殼(蜜炒) 一錢半, 陳皮ㆍ枳殼ㆍ黃連ㆍ木香ㆍ烏梅ㆍ厚朴ㆍ杏仁ㆍ甘草(灸) 各七分. 右剉, 作一貼, 入黑豆三十粒, 大棗二枚, 煎服立效. 《得效》

Translation

Treats the five-colour dysentery. Honey-stir-fried poppy husk, 1.5 don; tangerine peel, bitter orange, coptis, costus root, mume plum, magnolia bark, apricot kernel and roasted licorice, 7 fun each. Cut up, make one packet, add thirty black soybeans and two jujubes, and decoct — immediate effect. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Daebyeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The five-colour dysentery is the chapter's gravest category, a stool in which blood, mucus, bile and sloughed tissue appear together, and the section's formulas are all holding ones. Poppy husk at double the rest, one cold drug, and the aromatics to keep the gut moving; the immediate effect the Deukhyo promises is the opiate's.
