Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治子嗽. 百合ㆍ紫菀茸ㆍ貝母ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ前胡ㆍ赤茯苓ㆍ桔梗各一錢, 甘草五分. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑五片, 水煎服. 《得效》

Translation

Treats child cough. Lily bulb, downy aster tips, fritillaria, white peony, hogfennel, red poria, and platycodon, 1 don each; licorice 5 fun. Cut the above, make one packet, add 5 slices of ginger, decoct in water and take. — Deukhyo 得效 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The gentlest of the pregnancy cough formulas — lily bulb and aster to moisten and settle, fritillaria and platycodon to free the lung, and nothing in it that pushes downward.
