Translation
Treats severe stomach-duct pain from depressed heat. Coptis 6 don; aconite 1 don. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take hot. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Hyung)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Six parts coptis to one of aconite, which is where the name comes from. The single don of aconite is a guide, not a warming agent: 1.29 explains the device — a trace of something hot so that the cold medicine is not thrown back up.
**Contains aconite, which is toxic.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
