Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

能尋諸處痛. 凡膀胱氣脇下痛最難治, 此藥主之. 木香ㆍ胡椒各一兩, 全蝎(炒)ㆍ巴豆霜各四錢, 麝香一錢. 右爲末, 蒸餠和丸麻子大, 朱砂爲衣, 熟水下五七丸. 《直指》

Translation

Can seek out pain wherever it lies. Bladder qi with pain below the flank is the hardest of all to treat, and this medicine governs it. Costus and pepper 1 nyang each; scorpion (stir-fried) and croton frost 4 don each; musk 1 don. Powder them, bind with steamed bread into pills the size of a hemp seed, coat with cinnabar, and take five to seven with boiled water. — Jikji 直指 (Donguibogam · Jeoneum)

Clinical commentary 臨床

能尋諸處痛 — it can seek out pain wherever it lies. A claim of the kind the chapter makes for its most violent preparations, and the dose is five pills the size of a hemp seed. **Contains croton frost, scorpion and cinnabar, all toxic.
