Clinical commentary 臨床

Twenty ingredients, and the design answers a mixed picture that the simpler formulas cannot: profound Qi and Blood depletion *with* damp heat still present. Atractylodes and phellodendron are in it at four ounces apiece — the chapter's essential pair for wilting — sitting inside what is otherwise a large tonic. Pig's spinal marrow in the binder is the like-for-like reasoning aimed at the spine, as in the Lumbus chapter's Ducheung-hwan. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
