Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治産後熱入血室. 朱砂ㆍ鬱金各三錢, 牛黃二錢半, 牡丹皮二錢, 甘草一錢, 龍腦五分. 右爲末, 蜜丸皂子大. 每一丸, 井水化下. 《玉機》

Translation

Treats postpartum heat entering the chamber of Blood. Cinnabar and turmeric root, 3 don each; ox bezoar 2.5 don; moutan bark 2 don; licorice 1 don; borneol 5 fun. Powder the above and bind with honey into pills the size of soap-bean seeds; dissolve one pill in well water and take. — Okgi 玉機 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The postpartum fever shelf's emergency end, and the composition says so: bezoar and borneol to open the orifices, cinnabar to weight a spirit slipping loose, turmeric root and moutan for the heat in the Blood.
