Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治口瘡及咽痛. 吳茱萸ㆍ地龍 等分爲末, 米醋入生麴調塗足心, 神效. 《得效》

Translation

Treats mouth sores and sore throat. Evodia and earthworm in equal parts, powdered, mixed with rice vinegar and fresh leaven and smeared on the soles of the feet — divinely effective. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Guseol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Evodia paste on the soles is the tradition's standard way of drawing fire down from the head, and it is still used for mouth ulcers under this name. The Nose chapter's garlic-on-the-soles at 2.6.7 works the same way. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
