Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治腎元與膀胱經中陽氣不足, 致胸脇臍腹牽引冷痛, 大惡風寒, 或上熱如火下寒如氷等證. 預先一日用黃栢ㆍ黃連ㆍ生地黃(幷酒洗)ㆍ枳殼 各三分, 以新水浸; 又取細辛ㆍ川芎ㆍ蔓荊子(碎) 各二分, 以新水浸. 別取羌活ㆍ柴胡 各一錢, 藁本ㆍ甘草 各八分, 半夏ㆍ升麻 各七分, 當歸 六分, 防風ㆍ人參ㆍ郁李仁 各五分, 乾薑(炮)ㆍ附子(炮) 各三分, 白葵花 三朶(去心碎). 右剉, 作一貼, 水五大盞同煎至二盞, 入黃芪ㆍ草豆蔲(煨) 各一錢, 橘紅 五分, 同煎至一盞, 乃入前浸兩藥再煎至一大盞, 去渣熱服, 空心. 《東垣》
Translation
Treats yang qi insufficient in the kidney origin and the bladder channel, drawing a cold pain through chest, flank, navel and abdomen, with great aversion to wind and cold, or heat above like fire and cold below like ice. A day beforehand steep phellodendron, coptis and fresh rehmannia (all wine-washed) and bitter orange 3 pun each in fresh water, and separately steep asarum, chuanxiong and crushed vitex fruit 2 pun each in fresh water. Take separately notopterygium and bupleurum 1 don each, ligusticum and licorice 8 pun each, pinellia and cimicifuga 7 pun each, angelica 6 pun, saposhnikovia, ginseng and bush-cherry seed 5 pun each, dried ginger (blast-fried) and aconite (blast-fried) 3 pun each, and three white hollyhock blossoms with the hearts removed and crushed. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in five large jan of water down to two; add astragalus and roasted tsaoko 1 don each and red tangerine peel 5 pun and decoct together down to one jan; then add the two steeped preparations and decoct again to one large jan, strain and take hot on an empty stomach. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Hyung)
