Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治鼻中瘜肉窒塞疼痛. 辛夷 二兩, 細辛ㆍ木通ㆍ木香ㆍ白芷ㆍ杏仁 各五錢. 右以羊髓ㆍ猪脂 二兩, 和藥于石器內, 慢火熬成膏, 取赤黃色, 放冷, 入龍腦ㆍ麝香 各一錢爲丸, 綿裹塞鼻中, 數日脫落卽愈. 《御院》 小兒鼻流淸涕, 取此貼顖門上, 又塗鼻中. 《丹心》
Translation
Treats polyps within the nose blocking it with pain. Magnolia flower 2 nyang; asarum, akebia, costus, angelica dahurica and apricot kernel 5 don each. With 2 nyang of sheep marrow and lard, mix the medicines in a stone vessel and simmer over a slow fire to an ointment of a reddish-yellow colour; let it cool, stir in borneol and musk 1 don each, form into pellets, wrap in cotton wool and pack into the nose. In a few days the polyp falls away and it heals. For a child with clear discharge from the nose, stick this on the fontanelle and also smear it within the nose.
