Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治妳巖. 紫蘇葉一錢半, 人參ㆍ黃芪ㆍ當歸各一錢, 川芎ㆍ肉桂ㆍ厚朴ㆍ白芷ㆍ防風ㆍ烏藥ㆍ檳榔ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ枳殼ㆍ木香ㆍ甘草各五分, 桔梗三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 加靑皮一錢, 水煎服. 《正傳》

Translation

Treats breast rock. Perilla leaf 1 don 5 pun; ginseng, astragalus and angelica 1 don each; chuanxiong, cinnamon, magnolia bark, angelica dahurica, saposhnikovia, lindera, areca, white peony, bitter orange, costus and licorice 5 pun each; platycodon 3 pun. Cut up, make one packet, add 1 don of green tangerine peel, and decoct in water. — Uihak Jeongjeon 正傳 (Donguibogam · Yu)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Sixteen medicinals, mostly qi movers, with ginseng and astragalus to carry them — 12.10 treats breast rock as qi bound by long grief, and this is the formula the Jeongjeon offers first.
