Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治腸澼下血, 濺出遠散如篩, 色紫黑, 腰腹沈重, 名曰濕毒腸澼. 白芍藥一錢半, 升麻ㆍ羌活ㆍ黃芪各一錢, 生地黃ㆍ熟地黃ㆍ獨活ㆍ柴胡ㆍ防風ㆍ牡丹皮ㆍ甘草(灸) 各五分, 當歸ㆍ葛根各三分, 肉桂二分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats intestinal flux with bleeding shot out far and scattering like a sieve, purple-black in colour, with the waist and abdomen heavy; it is named damp toxin intestinal flux. White peony 1 don 5 pun; cimicifuga, notopterygium and astragalus 1 don each; fresh rehmannia, cooked rehmannia, pubescent angelica, bupleurum, saposhnikovia, tree peony bark and licorice (mix-fried) 5 pun each; angelica and pueraria 3 pun each; cinnamon 2 pun. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Huieum)
