Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治眉稜骨痛不可忍. 羌活ㆍ防風ㆍ半夏(製) 各二錢, 酒片芩一錢半, 甘草一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑三片, 水煎服. 《回春》

Translation

Treats pain of the brow ridge past bearing. Notopterygium, saposhnikovia and pinellia (processed) 2 don each; wine-fried sliced scutellaria 1 don 5 pun; licorice 1 don. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger, decoct in water and take. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Du)

Clinical commentary 臨床

眉稜骨痛 — pain along the ridge of the brow, which 1.31 keeps as a section of its own. The distribution is the supraorbital nerve's, and pinellia at two don marks the Hoechun's reading of it as phlegm rather than wind. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
