Clinical commentary 臨床

Three drugs and a cup of tea. The formula is the Head chapter's channel pharmacology made into a prescription: gypsum for the heat, with cnidium and dahurian angelica — the two guides for the front of the head — to carry it to the forehead. Tea as the vehicle is not incidental, since caffeine is a genuine analgesic adjuvant and is still combined with simple analgesics for exactly this complaint. 陽明頭痛, yang brightness headache, is frontal headache, and the formula is a reasonable antipyretic analgesic by the standards of the pharmacy that produced it. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
