Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治五淋澁痛, 小便出膿血. 琥珀ㆍ海金沙ㆍ沒藥ㆍ蒲黃各等分. 右爲細末, 每三錢, 空心以萱草根煎湯調下. 《綱目》

Translation

Treats the five stranguries with rough pain and pus or blood coming out with the urine. Amber, lygodium spore, myrrh and cattail pollen in equal parts. Powder finely and take 3 don at a time on an empty stomach, stirred into a decoction of day-lily root. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Four medicinals, three of them for blood — amber, myrrh and cattail pollen — with lygodium spore to carry them out through the water. For the strangury that has gone on to suppuration. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
