Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治面鼻風瘡及齄疱. 細辛ㆍ旋覆花ㆍ羌活各二兩, 晩蠶蛾(灸)ㆍ苦參各一錢. 右末, 軟飯和丸梧子大, 食後茶淸下五七十丸. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats wind sores of face and nose and the pimples of wine-nose. Asarum, inula and notopterygium 2 nyang each; male silkworm moth (mix-fried) and flavescent sophora 1 don each. Powder them, bind with soft rice into pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take fifty to seventy after food with clear tea. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Bi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

肺風瘡 — lung wind sores, the tradition's name for the papules that come with a red nose. The three dispersing medicinals at two nyang each treat it as wind rather than as heat, which is the minority view in this section. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
