Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治鼻紅肺風瘡. 薄荷 一兩, 山茶花ㆍ胡麻仁ㆍ片芩(酒炒)ㆍ梔子ㆍ葛花ㆍ苦參ㆍ甘草 各七錢, 連翹ㆍ荊芥ㆍ芍藥ㆍ防風 各三錢. 右爲末, 每二錢, 茶淸調服, 後用搽藥. 《醫鑑》

Translation

Treats a red nose and lung wind sores. Mint 1 nyang; camellia flower, sesame seed, sliced scutellaria (wine-fried), gardenia, pueraria flower, flavescent sophora and licorice 7 don each; forsythia, schizonepeta, peony and saposhnikovia 3 don each. Powder them and take 2 don stirred into clear tea, following it with the rubbing medicine. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Bi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Pueraria flower is the tradition's medicinal for the effects of wine, and its presence names the cause the section keeps returning to. Taken by mouth and followed by the ointment, which is how 9.12 treats the nose throughout. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
