Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

一名威喜元. 治腎有邪濕, 精氣不固, 小便白濁淋瀝不止, 及婦人白淫白帶, 小便如泔等證. 雪白茯苓四兩剉, 以猪苓剉二錢半同放於磁器中, 用水煮二十餘沸, 去猪苓, 取出焙爲末. 將黃蠟四兩熔化和丸彈子大, 空心細嚼, 以棗湯徐徐送下, 以小便淸爲度. 《得效》《入門》

Translation

Also called Awe and Joy Pill. Treats damp evil in the kidney with the essential qi not secured, white turbid urine dribbling without stop, and in women white discharge, vaginal discharge and urine like rice-washing water. Snow-white poria 4 nyang, cut, placed in a porcelain vessel with 2 don 5 pun of cut polyporus and boiled in water for twenty-odd boilings; discard the polyporus, take out the poria, bake and powder it. Melt 4 nyang of beeswax and bind into pills the size of a bullet; chew fine on an empty stomach and send down slowly with jujube decoction, until the urine runs clear. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon)

Poria boiled with polyporus and the polyporus thrown away, then bound in beeswax — the wax makes the pill dissolve slowly, which is why it is chewed and swallowed by degrees. 以小便淸爲度, until the urine runs clear, is the dosing rule. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
