Translation
Treats child dribbling. Amber powdered, half a don at a time, taken stirred into a decoction made from a handful of day-lily root. — Jeongjeon 正傳 (Donguibogam · Buin)
Clinical commentary 臨床
萱草, the day lily, is the plant of forgetting in Chinese tradition — the name of the formula comes from it rather than from any action on the mind.
Amber frees the water passages and quiets the spirit at once, which is why it is chosen where the dribbling comes with distress. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
