治孕婦小便不利. 冬葵子ㆍ赤茯苓 各等分. 右爲末, 每二錢, 米飮調下. 《仲景》
Translation
Treats a pregnant woman whose urine is inhibited. Winter malva seed and red poria in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into rice broth. — Junggyeong 仲景 (Donguibogam · Buin)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Zhongjing's two-medicinal formula, and the simplest thing in this section. Malva seed is mucilaginous and slippery; poria percolates. Nothing is cold and nothing is forceful, which is why it can be given in pregnancy without the precautions the other formulas here need. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
