Clinical commentary 臨床

**This must not be prepared.** Cinnabar with borneol and gold and silver leaf, given to an unconscious patient — the one setting in which no one can report ill effects. The non-mineral half of the thinking is sound and survives on its own: licorice with calcined gypsum and glauberite is a cooling draught for a high fever, and that is what the formula is for. The chapter cites it for fright at 5.13 and 5.9; its own indication, 昏迷不省, is a febrile delirium. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
