Clinical commentary 臨床

滿身重着 — heaviness fixed over the whole body — is the chapter's signature sign for damp, and 3.4.2 lists it among the six things damp does: binding it becomes panting and cough, soaking it becomes vomiting, seeping it becomes diarrhoea, overflowing it becomes oedema, stagnating with heat it becomes jaundice, and spread through the body it becomes this heaviness. Pyeongwi-san with pinellia and agastache — the plainest drying formula in the chapter. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
