Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治腸風. 蝟皮(燒)ㆍ黃連(炒)ㆍ秦艽ㆍ槐角子 各一兩, 當歸ㆍ檳榔ㆍ皂角仁(燒)ㆍ黃栢ㆍ荊芥穗ㆍ枳殼 各五錢, 大黃(煨)ㆍ桃仁泥 各三錢. 右爲末, 麪糊和丸梧子大, 白湯下五十丸. 血多加棕櫚ㆍ蓮房灰 各五錢. 《正傳》
Translation
Treats intestinal wind. Hedgehog skin (burnt), coptis (stir-fried), gentiana macrophylla and sophora fruit 1 nyang each; angelica, areca, gleditsia seed (burnt), phellodendron, schizonepeta spike and bitter orange 5 don each; rhubarb (roasted) and peach kernel paste 3 don each. Powder them, bind with flour paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed, and take fifty with plain hot water.
