Powder; 1 don each time, taken stirred into warm wine. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Pung)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Eighteen drugs and the most bone-directed formula in the chapter: drynaria, pyrite, tortoise plastron, tiger bone and acanthopanax are all drugs the tradition assigned to the bones rather than the joints or the flesh. The indication matches — pain between the skin and the marrow, quiet by day and severe at night — and nocturnal bone pain is a symptom that still means something. Tiger bone is prohibited; drynaria, dragon's blood and myrrh are the parts that remain usable. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
